About me
Growing up low income and in foster care forged within me a deep passion for financial freedom. My journey toward financial freedom started not long after I learned to walk as I was selling watercolors at the playground, opening up lemonade stands, and had $1,000 saved up before I turned 10.
We’ll skip ahead and start where I earned my Master’s degree in economics. I wanted to understand government, business, and individual behavior regarding money. I then sampled the life of investment banking, and soon after started my own dog walking business, BitterDog Walkers. I got to learn about business while doing something I enjoyed. I learned a lot during my journey toward financial freedom and became passionate about sharing this knowledge with friends and family, encouraging them to start their own business, save, invest, and ranting about investment opportunities, tax strategies, and so on. This led me to start my own Youtube channel on personal finance called MoneyThoughts.
My entire life I have utilized data and tracking as a tool to work toward my goals. I’ve done this for personal budgets, income streams, investment ROIs, retirement contributions, lifting weights at the gym, dieting, and the list goes on and on. I have learned that this process has played a key role in reaching my goals by allowing me to gain key insights, motivating me to continue pushing when something is working, acknowledging failures and cutting losses, or reinforcing a pre-existing thesis with further conviction.
Having encouraged friends and family to start their own businesses and help them with their bookkeeping, I’ve naturally found myself with my own bookkeeping practice where I am passionate about helping business owners pursue their goals.
